Must Have Mondays - Things I Love: the iphone

Who was there for me for all those middle of the night feedings early on? Who has kept me connected and in touch throughout this entire adventure of motherhood, from playdate to playground to park and back? Who has helped me document, observe, share, enjoy, research, track, learn, plan, organize, schedule, communicate, figure out how to get places, plan travel times, know what the weather is going to be, take, edit, upload and share photos, listen to music and podcasts, watch videos, shop, track my time, accept credit card payments, find restaurants and stores, calculate when sunset is, distract Liam so I can actually change his poopy diaper, keep him occupied at restaurants, on planes and in a pinch, read books and yes, make phone calls...?

Why, my iphone of course.

I love what it lets me do, the life it lets me have. I can't imagine being without it.

I love you iphone!

Note: This is part of a new weekly blog feature that I'm really really excited about! So excited that I already have the first 12 posts planned out (and half of them written - I've never done that before)! I was inspired by Justin & Mary Marantz who, at a fantastic workshop of theirs I attended earlier this year, talked about their "things we love" page and how much fun they've had connecting with their blog readers over their love of Starbucks and pumpkins.

Since then, I've been thinking about the things I love that define who I am and making lists... it's a great exercise that I highly recommend because there's nothing like realizing how many things you love to realize how lucky you are. But also to realize WHY you love the things you do, because it turns out it's not so much about what they are but about how they make you feel, what they let you do, and the experiences you have through them.

Thanks to Tofurious and Nina of Love and Lemonade for inspiring to make this a weekly blog feature and pushing me to take the plunge. And stay tuned each week for "Must Have Mondays - Things I Love!"
