Must Have Mondays - Things I Love: Green and Black's 85% Chocolate
Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:23PM
Ok so really, who doesn't love chocolate? I am a life long fan myself, although I really only eat dark chocolate if I can help it (thanks probably to childhood day trips across the channel to the French "supermarche" to buy, amongst other things, bars of dark cooking chocolate that I guess wasn't so prevalent in those days).
I've only recently found the perfect dark chocolate staple - thanks to my sister who's taste runs even darker than mine. It's become a tradition for her to make brownies with Liam when she visits, and trip before last she left some 100% cocoa chocolate that I was one day forced to break into due to lack of any other options. It was disgusting! Especially when it's not what you're expecting.
I complained about this on Facebook so this last trip, she was kind enough to leave me something more edible - Green and Black's 85%. I usually get 70% but let me tell you, 85% is a revelation - it's perfect. It's just sweet enough to be edible, but not so sweet that you want to eat the whole bar (as is, ahem, sometimes the case with 70%). Seriously, I can eat one piece and be done. It's a miracle. Plus it's readily available at our local, not particularly fancy supermarkets.
Green and Black's 85% chocolate - I love you!
