Fall fun at Hicks Nurseries

It really feels like Liam has been going through a developmental spurt lately. There's nothing concrete I can point to, but he just seems... older. More like a person.
He's so alert and present. You can practically see the wheels turning in his head as he soaks everything in, processes it, and incorporates it into his life view. It's such a great age, and I want to make sure I don't get so immersed in growing my business that I miss too much of it.
Last weekend we took him to Hicks Nurseries out on Long Island near my sister-in-law. Not only did he get to hang out with grandma and some of his cousins, but he went on a hayride with a tractor and he saw a ghost and a duck and a sheep and a rooster and a pig and pumpkins and basically he hasn't stopped talking about it since.
(He was for some reason under the impression that he might also see a camel but he didn't seem too bothered when there wasn't one).
I've been loving all the fall photos of pumpkins and apple picking and trips to the farm that have been popping up on my facebook stream. Fall really is gorgeous in New York. I just wish it wasn't followed so quickly by winter, but I did enjoy snapping some fall photos of my own.
And any time I get a cute photo of Liam and me is always a good time. Thanks to Catherine for taking this one!
