For fathers everywhere
Sunday, June 20, 2010 at 9:53PM I always knew my husband would make a great father, but he's an even better father than I expected. He and my son have a special bond and I'm basically chopped liver when they're together - which is totally fine by me!
The thing that I love the most about my husband as a father is that he really really loves being a father. And one of the great things about what I do is that I get to work with fathers who are all really into their kids. I know that many don't get to spend as much time as they'd like to with their families but they definitely make the most out of the time they have.
Happy Father's Day to fathers past, present and future, and to all those who father in any way. To those who are celebrating their first Father's Day with babe in arms, congratulations!
Special thoughts to those who are struggling or have struggled to become a father, and to those who have lost a child or a father. I am thinking of you too.
The image above is from this week's times square series over at the acfp store. I am really excited about this series - the photos were taken on my iphone! I did some test prints and the results were amazing, especially with the "dreamy" pearlescent finish I use for all my prints. I am definitely going to be experimenting more with iphone photography.
Don't forget, all proceeds from this month's sales at the store will help cover the costs of the Baby Basics NYC portrait event which took place this weekend and was a really great experience for me - so much fun working with such great families. Look for a blog post later this week with more details.
